ACH
Foods made their selection after interviewing
many TPM vendors. ACH Foods has just purchased
the Mazola brand from Unilever. Headquartered
in Memphis, TN, ACH Food Companies is a subsidiary
of Associated British Foods plc, a multinational
business focused on agriculture, ingredients,
oils, grocery, retail and packaging. Their
product line includes specialty shortenings
and oil-based products, specialty rice products,
spray dried savory ingredients and ingredient
systems, non-dairy spray dried products, and
non-dairy cheese. This product line includes
over five thousand individual products collectively
offered by three divisions, serving all food
distribution channels. The three domestic
channels cover food manufacturing, retail
store brands and foodservice. The name "ACH
Food Companies, Inc." represents a 100-year
heritage of serving the U.S. food market.
More literally, the name comes from the merger
of Anderson Clayton Foods (that's the "AC")
and HumKo Foods (hence the "H")
when ABF bought the divisions from Kraft Foods,
Inc.
